Business Partners

Since February of 2000, local businesses have pledged their financial support to CASA of Humboldt to help support abused and neglected children in our county. These 'business partners' contribute over $30,000 in cash and in-kind donations each year, helping CASA of Humboldt add needed staff members, create a proactive education advocacy manual and purchase their building so they can commit more funds to program services.

The CASA business partner program originated in early 2000 from a conversation between Humboldt Area Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Peter Pennekamp and CASA of Humboldt's Executive Director, Steve Volow. "Peter believed that the right organization with the right mission, could establish ongoing partnerships with local businesses," said Volow. "He pointed us in the right direction and then we went out and made the contacts in the community."

"The business partner program has not only brought in needed funds but has provided an avenue for local businesses to support our mission and be recognized for their generosity," said CASA Development Director, Jason Beaver. "Without our business partners it would be very difficult to meet our annual fundraising goals that make CASA work possible."
