This year 40 people participated in the training to become CASA Advocates. Pictured above is the latest graduating class of advocates, who were sworn in on October 27th by the Honorable Judge Reinholtzen. Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who do so much to make a difference!

This year, Thomas Home Center did something a little special for the 2005 CASA Kid Walk. They held a Celebration of CASA and the CASA Kid Walk.
On the weekened of the Kid Walk, Thomas Home Center donated 5% of sales to the CASA Kid Walk. They also got other local businesses involved in making donations, including generous cash donations from Mike Novak of Ming Tree Realty and Bill Wennerholm of McKinleyville Chiropractic.

On the Sunday after the Kid Walk, they held a celebration at Thomas Home with live music, free cotton candy and popcorn, karaoke, face painting, and lots of giveaways, as well as a raffle with items donated by Thomas Home Center, Curley’s, Chapala Cafe, Central Lube, Minor Theater, Miller Farms, Figureido Videos, and Curves.
All in all, Thomas Home Center raised over $1,200 for the Kid Walk!
