Cindy Humphrey Wins Little "Casa"!

PlayHouse.jpg
Cindy Humphrey won the drawing on May 1, 2008, for this beautiful playhouse donated by the Cal Fire High Rock Conservation Camp.

Cindy has generously donated it back to CASA, so the little "casa" will remain at 2356 Myrtle Avenue for the CASA kids to enjoy. CASA volunteers have already observed some of the kids having fun playing in it.

"They love it," said Jema Patterson, Development Director at CASA. "At the end of the tracing day for the Kid Walk silhouettes, five of the CASA kids couldn't wait to try it out. They loved everything from the mailbox and porch to the snap-closed windows. They played house, with all the little boys excited to run around as the "puppies" for nearly an hour!"

The proceeds from this little "casa" will go towards the completion of CASA of Humboldt's multi-purpose building for Humboldt County's abused and neglected children. Complete with a skylight, fully functioning door and windows, scalloped trim, and an exterior finish, this little "casa" is a beautiful addition to any property. The playhouse measures 6'x6' at the base with a 9'x9' roof.
