Voices II : A Community Mosaic

A FREE EVENT! NO REGISTRATION NECESSARY

Tuesday, May 8th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm

An opportunity for under represented populations to share their stories with the greater community. Multiple mediums will be used, such as poetry, narrative, dance, photography and film to illuminate the experiences of those in our area who are often without a voice in community decision making. gaining a greater understanding of those impacted by mental health issues, veterans, young parents, incarcerated adults, senior citizens, Native American youth and other youth who have been identified by the community as “at risk”. This event is offered free to the community and kicks off with an amazing keynote speaker, Geneva Wiki. Ms. Wiki is a member of the Yurok tribe and the director of the Klamath Early College of the Redwoods program. She has been identified by the Smithsonian Magazine as one of “Thirty-five people under 35 making a difference” and will be featured in upcoming issue.
