Friday October 27th: Student Study Teams (SSTs) 12-1pm CASA Office
A student is usually referred to a SST whenever the student is referred for assessment for special education. Teachers and parents can also refer a child to the SST whenever a child continues to have difficulty in a regular classroom, even if the child has no disability. A SST can provide a way to help these children in the least disruptive way, informally within the regular classroom setting. Laura Madjedi will describe the SST process and what advocates can expect, as well as discuss how advocates can request an SST.
