Kinship Care Conference 2003
presented by College of the Redwoods with keynote speaker Joan Callandar, author and adoptive grandparent. She frequently conducts workshops for grandparents raising grandchildren.

This conference is specifically for relatives who are raising the children of relatives, and will be useful for those working with these families. It will include topics such as: how to make the decision to parent, working with the courts and goverment agencies, dealing with the parent-grandparent-child triangle, dealing with grief guilt and anger, coordinating services for kids.
