Winter Training Class 2010

Applications are being accepted now! CASA is holding a day training at our offices in Myrtletown. Join us for the first training of the New Year, starting January 11 and ending on January 15. Classes begin at 9am and end at 4:30pm. Swearing in is held on Friday at noon at the Humboldt County Courthouse.

FALL TRAINING CLASS 2009

Fall training class will be held at the CASA offices in Myrtletown on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9pm, beginning on October 13th and continuing through November 12th. Professionals from the community participate in the training, including therapists, attorneys and social workers, as well as current advocates. Call Jan at 443-3197 X207 to sign up now.

Info Nights

Drop in at our CASA information sessions for coffee and conversation about the ways you can help foster children in this community. Our volunteer coordinator, case supervisor, and advocates will be on hand to answer your questions about advocacy and other volunteer opportunities.

Open House Party

Join us for a celebration of our new kid's playground and our new kitchen and meeting areas. We are also commemorating the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month. From 1-4pm on Saturday, April 25th. Join us for refreshments and music. Advocates and CASA staff will be there to talk about what we do here, and how you can be a part of our work.

January CASA Information Sessions

Three CASA information sessions are being held in January. They will take place in McKinleyville, Eureka, and Fortuna. We will provide information on many different ways you can make a difference in a child's life, including volunteer opportunities. Refreshments will be provided.
